THE QUIET BETWEEN

Synopsis – The Quiet Between
After a fast-spreading virus decimates the country, a young girl named Lena survives in a quiet rural house with her mother, Grace — a once-practicing doctor who was bitten while treating an early patient. As panic spreads, Grace senses what’s coming. She begins preparing Lena for a world where she may have to live without her.
Told through a blend of present-day tension and past memory, The Quiet Between follows Lena as she clings to the structure her mother left behind — the food, the rules, the story she was given. Day by day, she repeats routines that blur the line between survival and denial.
The title refers to the emotional and psychological space the film occupies: the quiet between life and death, love and loss, memory and forgetting. It’s the stillness that comes when the world has stopped — when the loudest thing left is the echo of who someone used to be.
As Lena’s isolation deepens, her innocence becomes harder to define, and the true weight of her choices begins to emerge. What’s left unsaid — and unseen — is where the horror lives.
